Webb13 apr. 2024 · Uechi Kanbun (1877 - 1948) Berühmt als der Begründer des Uechi Ryu Karate Do wurde Uechi in Motobu, im Norden Okinawas geboren. Von 1897 bis 1909 lebte er in Fuzhou, China, wo er den südlichen Shaolin Stil des Tiger Boxens unter Shu Shiwa studierte. 1926 eröffnete Uechi ein Dojo in Wakayama auf der Hauptinsel Japan.
